“As soon as my husband gets home and … my brother, I want to share with them,” the woman said.

Sitting in her humble home, she had listened attentively as Tim and David, two volunteers with the Southeastern team, shared with her.

“She was ready to give her idols up,” Tim exclaimed. “She didn’t want any more to do with them.”

This new believer was so excited that she immediately shared with her son, and he also accepted Christ. She couldn’t wait for her husband and brother to return home so she could share with them, as well.

Tim and David stopped next at the home of a mother and daughter.

“Tim went through the gospel presentation with the lady,” David said. “He started feeling attacked … he asked me to pray … for her.”

David began to pray, but he suddenly found he was unable to do so.

“I started praying and I just went blank … I couldn’t think.” After muddling through a short prayer he thought, “God, what did I just lead her through?”

Yet when he looked at the woman she had a smile on her face.

“I feel so much freedom right now,” she said.

“God’s strength is made perfect when we’re weak,” David mused. “It’s so incredible to be a part of something I can’t take any credit for.”
